He attentively listens to your concerns, arranges necessary investigations like X-rays or scans, and promptly provides results and explanations. Surgical Procedures
In collaboration with renowned London hospitals such as London Bridge and TLC, we prioritize flexibility and swift scheduling, often within two weeks. Alejandra, Mr Georgios Oikonomou’s secretary, will assist in coordinating your arrangements. Our highly specialized Consultant Head and Neck Anaesthetists prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. After a brief observation period, most patients can return home on the same day, equipped with all necessary medications.
Follow-up Aftercare:
Our commitment to your well-being extends beyond the surgical procedure. Mr Georgios Oikonomou’s patients receive thorough follow-up care and exceptional aftercare. Typically, a post-operative clinic appointment is scheduled approximately one week after surgery, offering instructions on accessing assistance or guidance outside regular hours. Additional review appointments are scheduled to monitor your progress and ensure everything is settling back to normal. Consultation Fees:
The initial or new condition consultation costs £300, and follow-up consultations for the same treatment episode are £200. Additional charges may apply for diagnostic tests or procedures during the consultation, like hearing tests, blood tests, ear microsuction, and nose or throat endoscopy. Inquire about fees before proceeding with any tests.
Policy for Major UK Insurance Companies:
Mr Georgios Oikonomou is recognized by major UK-based insurance companies directly, with agreed contract prices for AXA PPP, Aviva, BUPA, Vitality, and WPA. Medication from the on-site ENT pharmacy must be paid before leaving, as it’s not invoiced to insurance.
Policy for Overseas & Specialist UK Insurance Companies:
Full payment on the day of consultation is required for overseas or UK-based insurance companies not dealing directly with providers (e.g., Allianz World, Alliance, CIGNA, Benenden Health, Simply Health and Medical General). Reimbursement can be claimed independently. Credit/debit cards are accepted, with a 1.5-2% surcharge for American Express.
Insurance Authorization:
Contact your insurance company before the appointment for authorization. Bring the authorization number, personal and group scheme membership numbers if applicable. You may need diagnostic tests or procedures during the visit, so mention this when contacting your insurance provider. Failure to contact them beforehand may affect claim reimbursement.
Claim Forms:
Comply promptly with any conditions imposed by your insurance company, such as forwarding completed claim forms, to ensure timely invoice payments. Outstanding invoices remain your responsibility, even if you believe full coverage by a third party.
Notification of Operations:
Inform your insurance company promptly about upcoming operations, providing hospital and procedure code details. Check coverage details to address potential shortfalls.
